As a passionate advocate for public health, I’ve spent the past several years addressing health disparities at the intersection of nutrition, substance use prevention, and community empowerment. My work is grounded in a whole-person approach—integrating data-driven strategies with community-based solutions to improve health outcomes and restore dignity to underserved populations.

Recent Projects & Initiatives:
- The Destiny Clinic for Food & Lifestyle Medicine (Founder) A vision-driven initiative committed to reconnecting communities to the land, their culture, and their health. I am building sustainable garden spaces in food deserts, incorporating education, demo kitchens, and school-based programs to promote food literacy and wellness from the ground up. - Substance Use Prevention Program – Harris County Public Health
I’ve led the development of culturally tailored workshops, curriculum, harm reduction/Stigma campaigns (“Protect Your Crew, Keep Narcan on You”), and innovative interventions such as Narcan vending machines in high-risk zip codes. Our team is also designing whole-person care training for healthcare professionals and hosting multi-sector community linkage workshops.
- Fentanyl Awareness & Anti-Stigma Campaign
I’ve created targeted messaging for (1) school aged-youth and families, (2) men, (3) People Who Use Drugs and those who love them to de-stigmatize conversations around substance misuse and promote early intervention, empathy, and access to care.
- Farm to Table Community Gardens
From planning land purchases in food deserts to launching school gardens that feed students and families, I’m working to ensure that health begins with what we grow, teach, and share.
-My work spans from the molecular (nutrigenomics and systems biology) to the structural (social determinants of health and racial equity), and I remain committed to evidence-based solutions that center the voices and resilience of the communities most impacted.
-My Mission: To build sustainable systems of care that feed, heal, and empower—from the soil to the soul.
